EXERCISE LOG SAFARI 2026
The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) Headquarters very kindly invited our RLC Institution members to Exercise LOG SAFARI 2026 which was held at the home of the Corps, Worthy Down Camp on Monday 20 July 2026. The day started off with a video of the history of our former Corps; the Royal Corps of Transport, the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, the Royal Pioneer Corps, the Army Catering Corps and the Royal Engineers Postal and Courier Service through to the present day RLC being formed in April 1993. This followed a very interesting, guided tour of the RLC Museum by the Director, Major (Retired) Simon Walmsley.

Then it was on to the outside RLC specialist-trade capabilities with briefing and display stands of various equipment’s from our Petroleum Operators, Movement Controllers, Communications Specialists, Supply Chain Operators, Commando Logistic Regiment, Air Dispatch, Ammunition Technicians and our Chefs. What an amazing day and insight to the capabilities of the RLC where we hope everyone who attended took away a little bit of knowledge in how some of our trades provided logistics and other essential services to the modern fighting British Army, our Royal Navy and Royal Air Force colleagues along with our NATO and coalition partners.
Overall, the exercise was a huge success with many thanks to those RLC units involved but especially the 36 RLC Institution members who took time out of their very busy schedules to attend.
