RLC CONNECT ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER – TUESDAY 26 NOVEMBER 2024
The RLC Connect Annual Awards Dinner was held at the Officers’ Mess Worthy Down Camp on Tuesday 26 November 2024. The 8 Award winners represent a broad spectrum of the complex logistics arena that we all work within, from individuals who have excelled in a specific discipline to group awards that have enhanced operational capability and offered wider awareness of our environmental challenges. We also recognised 6 Conductors Coin winners as nominated by their Heads of Trade.
Maj Gen Angus Fay, Chairman RLC Connect gave the Welcoming Address and Maj Gen Jo Chestnutt, Master General of Logistics and our President, gave the Closing Address.
Turnout for the Awards Dinner exceeded expectations; we had 147 military and industry attendees.
Award Winners are as follows:
Since its inception in April 2015, RLC Connect (formerly the RLC Foundation) has been at the forefront of promoting professional excellence within The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC). Operating from Wellington House in Aldershot, RLC Connect is led by Civilian Director Alan Woods and supported by Business Support Manager Marti Jerrard. RLC Connect serves as a vital link between military logisticians and the civilian logistics community, including industry leaders, academic institutions, and professional bodies. Its mission is clear: to foster innovation, share expertise, and empower RLC soldiers and officers with the tools and connections they need to thrive in their roles. Through a range of initiatives, RLC Connect helps personnel advance their skills and professional credentials. From organising thought-provoking seminars and publishing insightful white papers to running competitions and awarding excellence, the organisation ensures RLC logisticians remain at the cutting edge of their field. Beyond professional development, RLC Connect offers crucial support to personnel transitioning to civilian careers. By leveraging its partnerships and the Career Transition Partnership, it provides direct links to employment opportunities, ensuring RLC members are well-prepared for life beyond service. RLC Connect is more than an organization—it’s a platform for innovation, leadership, and growth in logistics. Whether it’s through hosting events, promoting education, or recognizing outstanding contributions, RLC Connect continues to strengthen the bond between military and civilian logisticians, driving the profession forward.
